Trevoh Chalobah Poised to Replace Guehi in Three Lions Squad
Trevoh Chalobah emulated his sibling Nathaniel in playing for England, emerging as the twenty-first duo of siblings to be selected for the England side.
The Chelsea defender is set to be added to the Three Lions selection to cover for unavailable Crystal Palace defender Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is due to join the national side for England's final World Cup qualifying matches against Albania and Serbia, but it has yet to be confirmed.
The England team have already booked their place for the upcoming World Cup.
Chalobah received his first call-up under England manager Thomas Tuchel in May and then earned his first cap against the Senegalese team.
In the month of September, Tuchel said Chalobah was unlucky to be excluded from the squad for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally did not select him for the next October fixtures.
Tuchel has been an important presence in Chalobah's career, having given him his Chelsea first appearance in 2021.
Chalobah has appeared in almost every fixtures for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the side third in the English top flight, in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and in the league phase of the Champions League.
Guehi picked up a foot injury in Crystal Palace's Europa Conference League success over AZ Alkmaar last week.
There are set to be additional additions to the team. Newcastle boss Eddie Howe has announced that both attacker Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) are set to pull out from the England setup.
